One Team for Every Corporate Need When You Expand Into Anguilla
Anguilla keeps company formalities light, and we keep them lighter still. Rely on one partner to set up your Anguilla company and look after it afterwards, from annual renewals and accounting to secretarial work and company records.
Expanship is a privately owned company. We are not a government agency, department, registry or regulator, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Government of Anguilla, the Anguilla Financial Services Commission, or the Anguilla Commercial Registry. We advise you, prepare and coordinate your paperwork, and act on your behalf; whether a company or document is approved, and when, is decided by those authorities alone.

The law
Common law, the Eastern Caribbean bench, then London
Anguilla's 2022 statute sits inside English common law. First instance and appeal are heard by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, a court shared by nine territories, and the final appeal goes to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
The money
A currency fixed to the dollar, and no permits
The East Caribbean dollar has been fixed at 2.70 to the United States dollar by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, so the rate your accounts translate at does not move. There are no exchange controls: funds enter and leave the company in any currency without a permit from the territory.
The records
Filed with the authorities, not published
Directors, members and beneficial owners are filed through the Commercial Registration Electronic System and are available to competent authorities on request. The register is not searchable by the public, so a customer, competitor or stranger has nothing to look up.
The presence
An agent on the island, and no one else needs to be
Anguilla's local presence begins and ends with a registered agent and a registered office on the island. Nobody on the board or among the shareholders has to live here, and the company needs no premises or staff of its own; the agent's office is the company's address for every purpose the law cares about.
The year
One date, and everything falls on it
Anguilla collects its year in a single moment: the annual return, the government fee and the economic substance declaration all fall due on the last day of your anniversary quarter. There is no audit and no corporate tax return to file in between.

Start your company
What starting an Anguilla company involves
The formation is a single engagement with a single fee. Anguilla law attaches two appointments to the company for life, whichever structure it takes, and two more are yours to choose.
Already have an Anguilla company with another agent? Bring it to us for US$350, one time. Its number, its date and its contracts do not change. About transferring your company→
The package price includes the government fees, which are set by the Anguilla authorities and passed on at cost. The rest is our fee for advising you, preparing and coordinating your paperwork, and handling the incorporation on your behalf; whether the company is approved, and when, is decided by those authorities alone.
Hold a presence in the territory
Anguilla asks for a registered agent and a registered office from the first day to the last, whichever structure the company takes. Your first year of both sits inside the formation fee; after that they renew once a year.
Appointment A
Registered agent
A company must at all times have a registered agent in Anguilla. The appointment is arranged and held through us, so everything the authority sends arrives at one desk and your record with the authorities stays current.
Settled when the company is formed rather than added later. Two distinct arrangements for a company with shares, one for the board and one for the shares, each put in writing before a share is issued.
A bank account can only be opened once the company exists, so it sits outside the incorporation. Help with it is included in every package.
Opening

The decision

Commonly opened inthe United Kingdom, Singapore, the Caribbean, or with a digital provider. There is no local deposit requirement, and no exchange controls either way.
An Anguilla company is formed once and then kept, for as long as you own it, on a single date each year. We hold that work under one annual package, with a page for each part of it.

Why Expanship
Set up once. Looked after every year after.
From the day your Anguilla company is set up, one team carries it: the annual return, the substance return, the books and the local address, under one price agreed before anything began.

What every engagement includes
One price, agreed first
One figure for setup, the local presence and the year’s filings, shown before we start.
A named contact

A written checklist
What we need from you, and what happens next, set out before the work starts.
The same team, every year
Annual return, substance return, ownership and records, by the team that knows your file.
Nothing to travel for
Onboarding to signing, all online. No trip to Anguilla unless the law demands one.
Your information, handled
Strict security protocols and professional confidentiality throughout the process.
The jurisdiction first, then the practical side of forming and keeping a company there.
About the jurisdiction
Anguilla offers the same English common law and Privy Council appeal as its larger neighbours, at a lower cost and with a single annual date for every obligation. It suits owners who want a simple, private structure without a public record of directors or owners, and who do not need a large treaty network.
English common law, under a companies statute rewritten in 2022. First instance and appeal are heard by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, which serves nine territories, and the final appeal goes to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
Anguilla charges no corporate income tax, no capital gains tax and no withholding tax. The company pays an annual government fee. Tax may still apply where the company is managed or where its owners are resident, which needs advice in that country.
The OECD Global Forum rates Anguilla Largely Compliant for exchange of information, and it is not under FATF increased monitoring. The EU has kept Anguilla on Annex I, its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions, since October 2023, which some European counterparties treat as a reason for extra due diligence.
No. Directors, members and beneficial owners are filed with the authorities through an electronic system and are available to them on request. The public cannot search the record, so nothing about the ownership is visible to a customer or competitor.
No. An Anguilla company can be wholly owned and directed by non-residents. There is no requirement for a local partner, a resident director or a resident shareholder.
Working with us
One date carries everything. The annual return, the government fee and the economic substance declaration all fall due on the last day of the company's anniversary quarter. There is no audit and no corporate tax return. We prepare and file all of it inside the annual package.
Only the registered agent and the registered office, which we arrange and hold. Nobody on the board or among the shareholders has to be on the island, and the company needs no premises or staff of its own.
Usually outside Anguilla, in the United Kingdom, Singapore or elsewhere in the Caribbean, or with a digital provider. There is no local deposit requirement and no exchange controls. We prepare the application and follow it through, and the bank makes the decision on its own timetable.
Our formation packages start from US$1,249, including the government fee, the first year of registered agent and registered office, and the company documents. The annual package for everything that follows starts from US$1,099 a year, with government fees shown separately on the pricing page.
No. Expanship is a privately owned company. We are not a government agency, department, registry or regulator, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the Government of Anguilla, the Anguilla Financial Services Commission, or the Anguilla Commercial Registry. We advise you, prepare and coordinate your paperwork, and act on your behalf. Whether a company or document is approved, and when, is decided by those authorities alone.
Our own work: advice on the right structure and the right service, due diligence on every member, preparing and coordinating your paperwork, and handling your incorporation, annual compliance and company changes on your behalf. Where a package includes government fees, they are set by the Anguilla authorities, not by us, and are passed on at cost; where it does not, they are quoted separately before you commit.

Talk to us about Anguilla
Whether you are weighing Anguilla against other options or already have a company there, write to us. A member of our team replies, not an autoresponder.
Expanship is a private company, not a government agency. Submitting this form requests a consultation with our advisors; it does not place an order, start an incorporation, or create a professional relationship, and nothing we reply with is legal, tax, or financial advice.
